Workshops
Workshops and presentations are an efficient and beneficial way to decrease distress and promote well-being in your office, department, or community. Workshops run 1-2 hours, depending on your schedule, and are always tailored to your specific needs and concerns.  Workshops can be a one-time event or run as a brief series to dive more deeply into a certain topic. Possible topics are listed below, or we are happy to work with you to create a new boutique workshop.

  • Stress Management: We teach effective stress management and how to incorporate it into your life
  • Work-life Balance: We help you identify imbalances in your work and life and provide you with the tools to rebalance your work and life
  • Mindfulness for Real Life:  We teach you how to incorporate mindfulness into your busy life and help you become more present in your life
  • Resilience and Having a Growth Mindset: We provide the skills to lead a more resilient and growth-focused  life
  • Burnout:  We show you how to identify burnout in yourself and others; and, more importantly, how to prevent it
  • Suicide Prevention: This workshop teaches you how recognize distress, how to listen to others more effectively and compassionately, and how to intervene in a helpful manner
  • Self-Compassion: We instruct you on how to bring self-compassion in your life and why it will help you live a more joyful life
  • Impostor Syndrome: We teach you how to identify impostor syndrome in yourself and others, what contributes to it, and how to combat it
  • Effective Communication: This workshop will help you become a more effective and assertive communicator
  • Emotional Intelligence:  Emotional Intelligence is the ability to understand your own emotions and the emotions of others and to use your emotions effectively to guide thinking and action. This workshop will help you better understand what this is, assess your own skills, and help you improve your emotional intelligence regardless of your current level of ability.
  • Self-care and Sleep hygiene: This workshop will help you better understand what self-care is, how it includes good sleep, why it is important, and how to take better care of yourself so that you may more fully engage in your life and take care of others.
  • Manage your Technology-Don't let it manage you: Why is everyone on FaceBook happy? Should I leave my phone on when I go to bed? Why does my use of social media fuel my "fomo"? This workshop teaches how technology can lead to distress and the tools to use technology in a productive life-fulfilling way
  • Understanding Gender Identity: Transgender, non-binary, gender queer/fluid. This informative workshop demystifies these terms and provides you with the knowledge and language to better support these individuals in your community
  • Everything I Need to Know I Learned Doing a Spartan:  This autobiographical workshop teaches you that the lessons that I learned from my journey of overcoming a personal challenge​
